About Emerys New & Used Tire

Located at 20545 Van Born Rd, Taylor, MI 48180, Emerys New & Used Tire operates as a tire shop serving Taylor in Michigan. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under used tire shop, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 9 am–6 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (313) 561-7710. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 547 reviews, which is a strong result for a tire shop in Taylor and suggests consistent service.

I had one used tire put on. The tire and service was okay I guess. However when I had to remove my wheel a couple months later I found my lugs were torqued on to Oblivion. There was one lug that was on so tight that nothing would break it free. The lug had to be cut and chiseled out essentially destroying my rim and stud in the process.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. I purchased a used tire here, and just like several other negative reviews mentioned, it was flat the very next day. I brought my vehicle back, and they β€œfixed” it by patching the tire. A few days later, the tire was flat AGAIN. For context, I work from home and barely drive my vehicle, so the fact that the tire repeatedly goes flat despite hardly being used is extremely frustrating. Based on my experience and the number of similar reviews, I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. I absolutely do not recommend this place

I have visited this shop twice to have tires changed, and both times the vehicle was returned to me with loose lug nuts. The first time, I had to return to have them tighten them, I thought it was a little mistake, it happens… BUT ! Last week, when I returned for another change, the exact same thing happened. The thing is I didn’t notice right away but as soon as I drove over a bump, that’s it ! I heard that weird noise and realise it was my tires AGAIN! Not one, TWO TIRES ! This is a severe safety hazard that forced me to visit a different shop today to ensure my vehicle was safe to drive. I cannot recommend this business, as I no longer trust the quality of their work ! Very dangerous !!!! I suspect racism ! Because it can’t happen twice 😑 watch out ⚠️

We were on our way back to Canada when our tire got punctured and badly cut. Emery and his team came through for us when we were in a tough spot. They were honest, didn’t overcharge, and were very quick. We’re very grateful for their help and highly recommend them!
